Website delivery and hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. Netlify delivers the pages through its global content delivery network, so data may be processed in the United States and at other server locations. To deliver the requested pages and keep the service secure and stable, the servers process connection data: the requesting IP address, date and time of access, requested files, referrer, and browser and operating system information. Netlify keeps these server logs only as long as needed for these purposes. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website.
Netlify, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, including the UK extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to Netlify in the United States are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for this framework (Article 45 GDPR). Netlify also processes data on our behalf under its data processing agreement. See Netlify’s privacy statement and the Data Privacy Framework list.
Images, 3D models, fonts and scripts are delivered by this website itself. No third-party font services, media players, analytics or advertising trackers are embedded. The 3D view is drawn in your browser; nothing about it is sent anywhere.
Quote form
When you send the quote form, we receive your company, work email, quantity, chosen finish and colours, your message and the page language. The form is processed by our host Netlify (Netlify Forms): Netlify stores the submission in our Netlify account and forwards it to us by email at contact@slark.de. To keep out spam, Netlify checks submissions with Akismet, a service of Automattic Inc., USA; a hidden field also filters automated submissions. We use the data only to answer your request and prepare an offer. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual requests, or Article 6(1)(f) for business correspondence with company representatives. We delete submissions in Netlify once the request has been handled; correspondence that follows is kept as described under “Email contact”. Providing the data is voluntary; without an email address we cannot reply.
If sending fails, the page shows the request as a draft instead. “Open in your mail app” passes it to your email application, and you send it yourself; “Copy text” places it on your device’s clipboard.
Email contact
If you independently email SLARK, your message and contact details will be used to assess and respond to your enquiry. The applicable legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual requests by the prospective contracting individual, or Article 6(1)(f) for business correspondence with company representatives, based on the interest in handling business enquiries. Relevant legal retention obligations may also apply under Article 6(1)(c). We delete enquiry correspondence when it is no longer needed for its purpose and no statutory retention duty or justified need to retain it applies. Contractual, accounting and tax-related correspondence is retained for the applicable statutory periods.
Email correspondence is handled using Google Workspace. Google and its subprocessors may process message content and communication data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum describes processor arrangements and transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses. Merely viewing an email link does not send a message to Google.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website code sets no cookies and uses no localStorage, sessionStorage, tracking pixels or fingerprinting. English and German are separate pages (/ and /de/); on a first visit, your browser’s language setting decides which one opens. Nothing is stored for this. The hosting setup sets no cookies either: this website uses no Netlify features that need them, such as split testing or password protection. There are no marketing or analytics cookies, so no consent banner is used. Any later introduction of consent-requiring technology must be reviewed and blocked until valid consent.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it for the future. Contact the controller above to exercise your rights.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, including the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), or the authority responsible for your usual residence or workplace.
